Personal Care & Daily-Living Assistance
Personal care should be respectful, comfortable and guided by the individual’s preferences.
Depending on assessed needs and the agreed care plan, our Personal Support Workers and support professionals can assist with:
- Bathing, grooming and personal hygiene.
- Dressing and toileting.
- Mobility and transfers within staff competency and care-plan requirements.
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating.
- Medication reminders within the worker’s role.
- Establishing and maintaining daily routines.
We encourage individuals to participate in their care and continue doing the activities they can manage independently.
Practical Support at Home
Illness, disability or changing abilities can make everyday tasks more difficult.
Our home support may include:
- Light housekeeping related to the individual’s care.
- Laundry and linen changes.
- Meal preparation.
- Companionship and meaningful activities.
- Shopping assistance and appointment accompaniment where arranged.

Nursing Care at Home
Some care needs require the knowledge and clinical judgment of a registered nursing professional.
Beyond’s nursing services are delivered by Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses, according to assessed needs, professional scope, required orders or authorizations, and service availability.
Depending on the care plan, nursing services may include:
- Nursing assessments and health monitoring.
- Wound care.
- Medication administration and related nursing support.
- Catheter and ostomy care.
- Post-hospital or post-surgical nursing support.
- Education for individuals and caregivers.
- Communication with other healthcare professionals, with appropriate consent.
Our team reviews the requested care before confirming the appropriate professional and service arrangement.
Dementia Support
Familiar Routines and Respectful Assistance
For adults and seniors living with dementia, support may include personal care, meals, companionship, meaningful activities and caregiver relief.
We learn about the individual’s history, communication and preferences to help maintain familiar routines. Changes in needs are reviewed with the appropriate family members and professionals.
Evening & Overnight Care
Some individuals need assistance beyond daytime hours.
Evening or overnight support may help with personal care, toileting, mobility, settling into routines or caregiver relief.
Your service plan specifies the hours of support and whether the arrangement involves awake overnight care or another agreed level of assistance. Availability is confirmed before services begin.
